Charlie Marks is a filmmaker and environmental activist using the power of filmic storytelling to imagine and inspire a better planet for all living beings. He has a passion for visual storytelling and utilizes the camera to reveal stories in light and motion.
Currently a senior Film and Media Studies Major and Environmental Studies Minor at Colorado College, Charlie just premiered his thesis film Velvet Spaghetti, a fiction short about two environmentalists and their crumbling romantic relationship, in post-production on a short documentary about the Okefenokee Swamp and the threat of titanium mining to the greater rural community, and is soon to premiere his documentary short The Beast of Our Time, about grizzly bear conservationist and Vietnam War veteran Doug Peacock for State of the Rockies.
Apart from filmmaking, Charlie enjoys DJ’ing and sharing the dance music he loves with friends and strangers alike.
