Still Water (2025)

A State of the Rockies Adventurous Spirit Film

Still Water is a documentary short exploring how drought and climate change are impacting water allocation and equity along the Colorado River. Through the stories of people connected to the river, it examines how historical water laws, rooted in a colonial and genocidal American history, impact today’s water crisis. Further, the film asks how we can reconcile our collective inequitable and painful past with a more equitable future. Highlighting the voices of 30 tribes’ claims and connection with the river, the film reveals how local struggles reflect global challenges in the face of climate change.
